Over the past few weeks I’ve had the misfortune to
sit through endure quite a few presentations. I’ve found the same thought running through my head – ‘a string of assertions does not make a compelling case’. In fact, a string of assertions does not even make a framework for a compelling case!
And then I found this…
The plural of anecdote is not evidence.
It’s much more elegant than my thoughts, but seems to get to the heart of the issue quite nicely! (Thanks to Mark Sanborn for the quotation.)
