In recent weeks at church we’ve been thinking about ‘Ministry and ministering’ – essentially examining ideas relating to spiritual gifts. All of which has left me wondering about my own gifts, talents and abilities (spiritual or otherwise).
So I was intrigued to come across this tweet from Sally Hogshead (great name, slightly scary Twitter page!):
The greatest value you can add is to become more of yourself.
I’m inclined to agree. If we all played to our strengths, rather than focussing a lot of energy on addressing our weaknesses, I think there would be a significant net gain. And I’m sure there would be a significant boost to our confidence and well-being.
Any thoughts?
I agree. You have to take care of yourself first. This is why airlines have you put your own oxygen mask on first before helping others.
