Travelling at the speed of spin

This thought has been on my mind for a few days (inspired by an entry on Nicholas Bate’s blog).

The earth orbits the sun at a speed of 29.77 (ish) kilometres per second. In ‘old money’ that’s 65,000 miles per hour.

So, why are we surprised when we try to live at a similar pace and end up spinning around?

Slow down!
