STEP 1 – Before you check the e-mail and feel like your pushing a boulder uphill, take ten minutes and identify 2 or 3 things that you intend to achieve this week. Don’t make a great big list – just include the handful of things that would equate to a successful week if you accomplished them.
STEP 2 – Plan 3 actions that you can take today or tomorrow that will move you purposefully towards achieving the priorities that you’ve just identified.
Tomorrow morning and every morning this week repeat STEP 2.
At lunchtime on Wednesday try a midweek review (pause, evaluate, reflect and refresh).
Then on Friday look back with pleasure as you reflect on a productive, successful and rewarding week.
