Inspired by one of Austin Kleon’s blackout poems, I’ve found a new lease of life for blogging and for most other things that I do.
The temptation to wait for perfection is strong, and the fear of messing up is even stronger. But the cost of waiting, of the inevitable inaction, is that ideas are stifled, conversations are curtailed, and opportunities are lost.
So ‘show your work’, put your stuff out there, have a go, and embrace imperfection. It will be liberating, and maybe even stimulate your creativity.
