“Oh, I’m not creative!”

be-creativeI hear this frequently from colleagues.

Self-deprecating? Self-limiting? I suppose it depends on your definition of creative.

For me, if you’re able to find solutions to problems, then you’re creative. If you’re able to see multiple points of view, then you’re creative.

Jason Womack defines creativity as “pausing long enough to notice what is missing”.

I like that emphasis on pausing and noticing. We can all do these things – if we choose to.
